Obv: Laurel wreath and crescents that represent a portion of the head of Apollo. Rev: Celtic disjointed horse.

A well struck and appealing piece of a good weight, showing a clear disjointed horse, a good weight. Much appeal in the hand and a good clear example of Celtic art dating to c.2,000 years ago.

 

This piece is registered with the Portable Antiquities Scheme as a metal detecting find. The reference number: DOR-A2DD07.
